When I first started talking to Kevin about his proposal to his soon to be fiance Victoria, it was a joy to feel the nerves and excitement right through the phone. Victoria had been planning a trip to Vail, Colorado with her girlfriends, and Kevin thought this was a perfect opportunity to catch a flight to Denver and drive into the mountains to surprise her. I worked with Kevin to plan the whole thing out, including timing, location and calmed his nerves as the plans came to fruition.
Love has a way of weaving magic into the most ordinary moments, and that was what made Kevin so excited about Victoria. All the mundane, everyday was fun with her. They met in college, and he knew she was the one from the very beginning, it was just a matter of time before she realized it as well.
The Surprise Proposal:
Kevin, a hopeless romantic with a heart set on surprising his beloved Victoria, planned an unforgettable trip to Vail, Colorado. With the cold winter air and the mountains blanketed with snow, he stage was set for a romantic set up. Little did Victoria know that this weekend getaway with friends held a life-changing moment. In fact, her one friend took her to the locaiton the night before and she even said "this would be a perfect place to get proposed at".
Kevin and I drove up and up and finally got to the location where I stood pretending I was taking pictures of the scenery. Kevin waited just over the hill for Victoria to come running with a very surprised face. He got down on one knee, yes, in the cold snow, and she said yes!! Sealing their love with a kiss and several hugs, they knew forever was soon to be.
To commemorate this special occasion, Kevin decided to capture the magic of their engagement with a photoshoot that mirrored the beauty of their surroundings. They enlisted me to find the perfect location that would suit what Victoria wanted, and she told us a few times what a grand, beautiful location it was.
