In the heart of Vail, Colorado, Ellie and Spencer, chose one of the beautiful covered bridges as the setting for their elopement, and I had the honor of capturing every magical moment through my lens. It was so fun to get to see Ellie and Spencer's wonderful families surround them for photos as the sunlight started to dip below the horizon.

Once the sun was really starting to set, we headed up the mountain to try to catch a little bit of that color before the sun went down. Trying to capture their beautiful 4 legged children was a challenge, but we got some and more importantly they were having a blast!

Their elopement wasn't just about escaping the stress and time of a traditional wedding; it was about embracing the intimacy of their love, and focusing whole heartedly on just the two of them (and their dogs of course).

In the fading light of that spring evening, as they embarked on the journey of marriage, Ellie and Spencer stood united under the covered bridge, and on top of the mountain in that gorgeous glow.

And as their photographer, I was privileged to witness and capture the beginning of their happily ever after. It is an absolute joy to be able to capture people's incredibly special, intimate moments. I never take it for granted.

Warmly,

Sierra Sturt
